I have tried countless times to start a blog, but the truth is, Iíve never been sure of what to say.
People are often curious about my unconventional career as a diamond dealer and the so-called glamourous lifestyle that goes with it. I wonít lie; things can get pretty exciting and unpredictable sometimes, especially when a discerning client insists I make a personal delivery on their private jet.
But more often than Iíd like to admit, I can just as easily close my eyes and revert back to a simpler time; a cherished memory of a little girl admiring herself in front of a full length mirror while wearing her motherís sparkling ďshiny things.Ē
It is with that inner sense of wonder and delight that I have decided to give this blogging thing another go.
For better or for worse, these posts will be a collection of my experiences, opinions and reflections; in essence, everything absorbed over the course of an inspired life.
I hope my candor will not bore or disappoint. And, if I occasionally provoke a smile or instill the motivation to chase your own dreams, it will be well worth the effort.
December is the perfect time to indulge. Holiday temptations abound; rich home-cooked meals, endless parties and then of course, there are those pesky gifts.
Now donít get me wrong, I love shopping for my loved ones and clients (being on the receiving end isnít bad either), but the stress of buying the wrong thing is enough to make me want to hide under the bed until itís all over.
So this year Iíve decided to simplify things.
Iím sending custom-labeled bottles of a delightfully sweet Hungarian wine called Tokaji Aszķ to many on my holiday shopping list. Hereís hoping that they will enjoy it just as much as I do.
And for those a tad more challenging to shop for, you know, the fortune souls that already have everything, I have to dig a little deeper into my creative core because truth be told, I do love challenges of luxury variety.
